Franco Chirichella

President and Chief Executive Officer (interim)
Franco is responsible for providing vision, strategic direction and leadership for the development, integration and implementation of the digital capabilities required to create competitive advantage for Canada Post and the Group of Companies, which also includes Purolator and SCI Group. Franco joined Innovapost in 2013 as Director, Application Delivery and has since held progressively more responsible roles in the organization, including Business Solution Delivery Lead – Chief Commercial Officer and Business Solution Delivery Lead – Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Innovapost, Franco was a Director with Canada Post where he led a variety of system and business initiatives specializing in induction and revenue assurance. Franco brings over 20 years of experience managing teams of technology and business professionals to deliver large-scale software development and business process transformations. He has also led numerous enterprise transformational initiatives to realize revenue recovery, operating efficiencies, and cost reductions. Prior to joining Innovapost, Franco was a Director with Canada Post where he led a variety of system and business initiatives specializing in induction and revenue assurance. Franco holds a Master of Business Administration in Innovation from the University of Fredericton and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Management from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. He also holds a Project Management designation and is Agile Certified. Franco lives in Toronto with his wife and 2 sons.

Paul O’Leary

Architecture, Development, QA & Data Analytics Services Lead
In his role as Architecture, Development, QA & Data Analytics Services Lead at Innovapost, Paul is responsible for Solution Architecture, including: architectural standards, methodologies, and oversight of enterprise-wide solutions. Paul is also responsible for major technology decisions and cohesive architectures that enable strategic projects, as well as overseeing the Quality Assurance strategy, standards, and guidelines for IT initiatives at the Canada Post Group of Companies. Paul is a seasoned veteran with over 20 years in the technology industry. He has a breadth of experience in IT and software architectures, software development and product management. Prior to joining Innovapost in 2009, Paul held VP and Director Roles in a succession of start-ups: OnCore Systems, Appzero (formerly Trigence) and Liquid Computing. At both OnCore and Appzero, Paul built development teams from scratch and successfully delivered first generation products. Prior to that, Paul held senior management roles at Nortel Networks in development and engineering for leading edge products in wireless, optical, and networking. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Applied Science degree from the University of Toronto.

Éric Maheux

Security, SOC and IAM Centre of Expertise Lead
Éric Maheux is the lead for the Security, Security Operations, and Identity & Access Management Centre of Expertise at Innovapost. In this role, Éric is responsible for deploying security controls to support business needs while minimizing risk. Focused on a risk-based approach, the Security Centre of Expertise works to enable security for the evolving needs of the Canada Post Group of Companies. Éric brings over 12 years of security, compliance, and internal control activity experience to Innovapost. Before joining Innovapost in 2012, Éric accumulated 14 years of IT and management experience at Canada Post where he held roles in its National Control Centre and Enterprise Information Management organizations developing their SAP Access Management, IT security & compliance programs. Éric is bilingual and holds an Advertising & Marketing Communications Management diploma.

John Polak

Strategic Business Architect
John plays a key integrator role to assist with aligning strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.

Prior to joining Innovapost, John was with Canada Post for almost 35 years. Prior to joining Canada Post, John worked at Queen’s Park and on Parliament Hill. His Canada Post career began as a Project Officer in the President’s Office. He then held progressively more responsible roles in Government Affairs, Retail, Corporate Affairs, Sales and Regional Operations, and most recently as General Manager, Addressing and Delivery.

John and his family reside in Ottawa.

Dan Michelone

Project & Portfolio Management Lead, Strategy & Control
As Project Portfolio Management Lead, Dan is responsible for providing the enterprise view of current and future projects, project prioritization, capacity management, and resource planning to ensure that Innovapost works on the right projects. Dan is also responsible for the IT Project Management Office (IT PMO) where he ensures that the company is executing the projects right, following methodologies, sharing best practices, and embracing innovation on an ongoing basis. Dan brings over 15 years of experience in large scale application development programs and complex technical upgrades leveraging different delivery methodologies. Prior to joining Innovapost in 2004, Dan was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young Consulting where he delivered successful projects for large, complex organizations including Telefònica de España (Telecommunications), Telefônica Shared Services (Services), Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (Mining) and Siemens (Manufacturing and Technology). Dan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Information Systems (Valedictorian) from Paulista University in São Paulo, and is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified. He lives in Ottawa with his wife and has two children.

Henri Besnier

Financial Performance Lead
As Lead, Financial Performance, Henri is responsible for the enablement of all Finance functions at Innovapost. Through his leadership, Innovapost creates and manages a flexible portfolio/program funding process, generates reporting that supports effective decision making, and acts as a bridge for managing and translating IT cost performance with our shareholders. Prior to joining Innovapost in 2018, Henri was Vice President Finance at Permacon Inc. A uniquely experienced CPA-CMA executive with more than 20 years of financial and management experience, Henri has held roles at Ernst & Young LLP, Decimal Technologies, EBI CR SA (Costa Rica), Gedden, and FIDO. Henri is a recognized Costing expert and a frequent speaker and trainer for the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) and the Financial Management Institute (FMI). He holds a degree in M.Sc. Management Control from HEC Montreal, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting from the Université du Quebec à Montreal.

Jim Bezanson

End User Computing Lead, IT Operations
Jim Bezanson is responsible for End User Computing for the Canada Post Group of Companies. In this role, Jim is accountable for end-to-end service delivery of End User Computing services. The team is the face of IT where we focus on the end user experience, act as the primary end user point of contact, and continually seek ways to improve the service. We work with our partners and industry leaders to adapt new technologies with a focus on moving to a digital work place. In addition to the End User Computing role, Jim’s team will also act as the client liaison to SCI with a focus on meeting commitments for EUC services, assisting to deliver new services for SCI, and evaluating reciprocal business models within the Canada Post Group of Companies. Jim brings to his role over 30 years of IT experience, including 12 years of management experience from Canada Post and Innovapost. Prior to joining Innovapost in 2012, Jim was Infrastructure Director, Enterprise Information Management at Canada Post Corporation, where he was responsible for providing management and oversight to an outsourced IT Service delivery model. Jim delivered many large scale programs to modernize Canada Post’s technology infrastructure and systems. Prior to joining the Group of Companies, Jim led a large team of employees and outsourced vendors to deliver IT shared services to more than 40 government departments.

John Abraham

IT Operations, EUC & Service Integration & Management Lead
As IT Operations, EUC & Service Integration & Management Lead, John oversees end-to-end service delivery of multiple functions. These include End User Computing services, which is the face of IT where we focus on the end user experience, act as the primary end user point of contact, and continually seek ways to improve the service. John is also responsible for production support and management, infrastructure engineering, cloud services, network and telecommunications, operational security and data center management. Lastly, John is responsible for Service Integration & Management at Innovapost. Prior to joining Innovapost in 2003, John held various technology management positions at Nortel and engaged in a wide range of major software development projects at Canada Post as an employee and independent consultant with NCR Canada Ltd., DMR Group Inc., and Andersen Consulting. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science (Honours) from Queen’s University and is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.

Ricardo Costa

Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Purolator
Ricardo is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions and services for Purolator.

With 20 years of experience, Ricardo is a business-focused IT leader who has helped transform organizations through the use of technology to enable business growth, while improving operational and supply chain efficiencies and mitigating IT risks. Prior to joining the Group of Companies, Ricardo was the CIO, Weston Foods. In this role, Ricardo established and led a team responsible for IT operations and innovation across all business units for the organization. Ricardo brings experience in supporting complex, North American-wide distribution and delivery networks, large-scale technology project leadership and experience working through an IT shared-service model.

Ricardo holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Universidade de Brasilia.

Transformational Program Leads


Chris Snyder

Transformational Project Lead
Chris Snyder is a Transformational Project Lead at Innovapost. Prior to assuming his current position in April 2018, Chris served as the Director of Enterprise Architecture at both Innovapost and Canada Post over a 10 year period. As a leader in the Enterprise Architecture group, Chris was primarily responsible for the technical solutions being implemented at Canada Post. This role included the delivery of a number of Enterprise Solutions that are currently used by all members of the Group of Companies. In addition, Chris served as the integration lead for the Canada Post Postal Transformation program. Before joining the Canada Post Group of Companies, Chris spent 10 years at Accenture. As an IT consultant at Accenture, he worked on projects for Canada Post, the US Postal Service, and other Canadian Government clients. Over his final few years at Accenture, Chris worked as a Senior Solutions Integration Architect and Project Lead on a series of transformational programs at Canada Post. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa.

Lyle Rousselle

Transformational Project Lead
Lyle is a Transformational Program Lead at Innovapost. Prior to joining Innovapost, Lyle was a successful entrepreneur and worked as an IT consultant and employee for several private and public sector organizations, including Canada Post, to deliver large scale and strategic programs.

Nish Anjaria

Transformational Project Lead
Nish is a transformational project lead at Innovapost. Nish brings over 20 years of experience in managing large scale application development programs, leading digital and agile transformations, and implementing business improvement practices. Nish has been with Innovapost since 2008 and has held increasingly senior leadership positions. Prior to joining Innovapost, Nish worked with Dell Canada and held senior management positions with reputed international organizations. Nish holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and Master of Business Administration Degree from S P University, India.

Samantha Rahim

Transformational Project Lead
Samantha Rahim is a Transformational Program Lead at Innovapost. Prior to assuming her current position in August 2018, Samantha served in various Director roles within both Innovapost and Canada Post. Samantha led the Business Architecture group, was Director for the Revenue Assurance Department, and in 2009, led the upgrade of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system for Canada Post. Before joining the Canada Post Group of Companies, Samantha spent 7 years at Accenture. As an Accenture IT consultant, she worked on projects for Canada Post, Canadian Tire Corporation, and other Canadian Government clients. Samantha completed an intense 5-year Biotechnology program at University of Ottawa. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering. Samantha is passionate about soccer, diversity, and inclusion.  

Scott Richardson

Transformational Project Lead
Scott is a transformational project lead at Innovapost. Scott brings over 25 years of architecture, systems integration, and business management experience to Innovapost. Prior to joining Innovapost, Scott was a co-founder and Director of Business Development at AppZero (formerly Trigence Corp). Scott also worked with Andersen Consulting and held increasingly senior technology positions at Nortel, including five years with the Spectrum Base/Operating System team. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from McGill University.
