Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario

Make A WishInnovapost and Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario have been partners since 2006. The mission of Make-A-Wish, granting wishes to create hope and happiness for children with life-threatening medical conditions, is especially close to Innovapost’s primary charitable cause — supporting families and children in need.

The Innovapost Share the Power of a Wish Walk/Run will be held on May 8, 2010 in support of children with life-threatening medical conditions. In partnership with Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario, we have grown the event from 40 walkers and runners in 2007 to over 400 in 2008. In our third year, we hope to have 1000 walkers and runners participate, and to raise enough money to grant wishes to 10 seriously ill children.

The annual event — one of the largest fundraising events for Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario — offers a day of fun for families, beginners and competitive runners alike. Proceeds go to granting wishes to create hope and happiness for children with life-threatening illnesses. Participants can choose to walk or run a 1km, 5km or 10km route. There is also activities for children and families including musical guests, prizes and a picnic during the event.

“Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario is delighted with the continuing support from Innovapost,” said Mike Wlotzki, executive director, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern Ontario. “Our family at Innovapost continues to help us with our mission. It is because of people like those at Innovapost that we can make a difference in a child’s life.”
