Ottawa 67’s
The Innovapost Community and Charitable Events Committee (CCE) began discussions with the Ottawa 67’s Hockey Club in early 2008 to discuss community partnership opportunities that targeted children in need. We are now proud sponsors of their “Adopt-A-School” Program—a program designed to motivate and reward students who exhibit exemplary community behaviour, improved academics, environmental awareness and participation in extracurricular activities.
Innovapost gave our adopted school seasons tickets to Ottawa 67’s home games. The tickets were used as incentives and awards for students as well as staff and parent volunteers who work hard to make a difference at the school. Innovapost will continue to work with the 67’s to identify community partnership opportunities, including co-participation in Industry Canada’s Computers for Schools Program.
About the Ottawa 67’s Adopt-A-School Program
The Adopt-A-School Program is a partnership amongst Ottawa-area businesses, local school boards and the Ottawa 67’s Hockey Club. The Ottawa 67’s currently partner with over 100 businesses to sponsor 140 local area schools.
An opportunity exists for businesses to connect with students in a unique way. Adopted schools will use tickets as a reward for students achieving academic success or showing improvement.
