Innovapost Introduces Enterprise Mobility Practice

2009/11/30 - Ottawa, Ontario

Innovapost has helped to develop, deliver and maintain some of the largest mobility deployments in Canada

Innovapost announced today that it has expanded its industry-leading application development and maintenance capabilities in SAP, e-Business and Retail solution development to include Enterprise Mobility. The new service offering will enable Innovapost’s enterprise and public sector clients to cost-effectively mobilize their workers, processes, and services through various mobility programs mobile technologies.

“The modern workforce is being heavily shaped by mobile technology,” says Brendan Timmins, Chief Executive Officer of Innovapost. “Mobility is changing the way we communicate, share information, complete business processes and access services. Innovapost is delighted to offer our clients mobile strategies and solutions that will help them to improve efficiency, reduce costs and meet their customers’ ever-increasing demand for services and access to information.”

Since the company was founded in 2002, Innovapost has helped to develop, deliver and maintain some of the largest mobility deployments in Canada. Innovapost led the development of Canada Post’s Mobile Computing Architecture (MCA), which replaced fragmented, mobile point solutions in place since 1996, with a modern architecture that now scales with new mobile devices, applications and increased user volume.

Innovapost also participated in the planning and implementation of a nation-wide mobility deployment at Purolator, including a next-generation scanner network with 6,100 scanners and applications deployed on it within 24 months.

“In working with Innovapost we are able to leverage the skills and experience of their people who have implemented similar projects, such as their mobility rollout at Canada Post,” said Jim McDade, a Senior Vice President and the CIO of Purolator. “The wisdom of having deployed an entire device and infrastructure is invaluable — they know what the end result looks like.”

Innovapost’s Mobility Practice includes the following capabilities: mobile strategy, mobile solution development and delivery and mobile device management.

  • Workforce segmentation and mobile worker profile analysis, road map development, end-to-end policy development and total cost of ownership analysis
