Innovapost to Present at Public Sector Transformation Conference – November 23, 2009
2009/10/30 - Ottawa, OntarioInnovapost Senior Consultant, Christina Sutcliffe, will be presenting “Managing Technological and People Change” with Johanne Roberge, Director, High Performance Workforce, Human Resources and Skills Development (HRSDC). This presentation is part of the Conference Board of Canada’s Public Sector Transformation Conference: Mastering Complex Change for High Performance.
The presentation will overview the journey taken by the Innovation and Information Technology Branch (IITB) of HRSDC to transform itself into a world-class IT service provider. The presentation will cover a series of high performance workforce practices that IITB implemented to manage human performance and develop talent.
By improving the way IITB develops and deploys people, they are moving towards a performance-focused culture that optimizes employee engagement and drives business transformation. The presentation will share lessons learned from making the following investments in IITB employees:
- The creation of career paths to help employees manage their careers and see opportunities within the organization;
- A competency-based performance management system aligned with strategic objectives and supported by a process to enhance management’s feedback and coaching capabilities;
- A new talent identification process and the development of a leadership and succession planning tool;
- Proactive use of change management methodologies to ensure successful implementation of these people initiatives.
As a Senior Consultant in Innovapost’s Change & Human Performance Practice, Ms. Sutcliffe is responsible for delivering Integrated Talent Management and Change Management services to Innovapost’s internal and external clients. Christina was instrumental in helping HRSDC design, develop and implement their Talent Management process – a process considered leading-edge within HRSDC and the Federal Government of Canada.
