Fall Festival 2009
This year’s United Way theme was “Rediscover Your Community” and once again the employees of Innovapost proved how much they care about the communities around them. Over the last six years Innovapost has combined our annual Fall Festival United Way Campaign with a series of fun activities in order to create something truly special.
Last year, Innovapost was recognized by United Way/Centraide Ottawa as the “Best 2008 Community Campaign”– having raised a total of $289,608, of which $247,460 went directly to United Way/Centraide Ottawa. We are happy to announce that through employee and corporate contributions and various fund-raising activities, our 2009 campaign raised an amazing $313,827 for the United Way. We were able to achieve 110% of our fundraising target and 106% of our leader target.
The success of this year’s Fall Festival campaign couldn’t have happened without the people who stepped up and volunteered their time and effort at Innovapost campuses throughout Ottawa, Mississauga and Toronto. We would also like to thank a number of special guests who visited us during our two week campaign.
James McCraken, Chairperson for the 2009 United Way Ottawa Campaign, helped rally Innovapost employees at our campaign kick-off breakfast in Ottawa. Max Keeping of CTV News Ottawa and the Ottawa 67’s joined Innovapost employees at Fall Festival “Entertainment Day”.
