RONA MS Bike Tour

Innovapost participated in the RONA MS Bike Tour, which took our 10-member team on a 150 Kilometer ride from Ottawa to Kemptville and back. The team, made up of Bill Baker, Trevor Connors, Marcus Davies, Natacha Durand, Zoe Frouin, Ruth Hawkins, Drew McCutcheon, Tammy Morrison, Andy Morrison, and Erin Sarsfield raised a total of $5,500 for the MS Society.

Almost 700 cyclists rode on August 8th and 9th, which marked the 20th anniversary of the tour. The funds are still being tallied but the MS Society is optimistic they’ll hit the $500,000 mark this year.

Not only did Innovapost enter a team in the event, but we also sponsored a rest stop during the return ride to Ottawa on Sunday morning. Many thanks to Rose Ireland (Innovapost Alumni), Laura Blakeley, Dick Gunstone, and others who spent their Sunday preparing and handing out fruit, cookies, Gatorade and water to hundreds of cyclists. Their smiles and encouragement helped riders get through the last 15 kilometers of the route.
